Descriptions:
This clinical research study is evaluating an investigational treatment for irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children and adolescents. Irritability in ASD can include behaviors such as frequent tantrums, aggression, or severe mood changes that can interfere with daily life and increase stress for families. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the investigational treatment can safely reduce irritability symptoms compared with a placebo (inactive treatment). Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the study treatment or placebo for about 6 weeks. Throughout the study, participants will be closely monitored by a specialized research team. Participation is voluntary, and families may withdraw at any time.
